Kei Truck Importer & Sourcing
"Importer" can mean several different things — from a dealer selling their own stock to a logistics broker. KeiScout is a buyer-side sourcing service: we work for you, searching appropriate sources and verifying eligibility, rather than selling you whatever we happen to hold.
Seller vs. importer vs. buyer-side sourcing
A dealer sells vehicles they already own — your choice is limited to their lot. A logistics importer moves a vehicle you've already found. A buyer-side sourcing service like KeiScout starts from your requirements and searches for the best match across sources.
That distinction matters most when you want a specific configuration — a particular model, drivetrain, or body — that no single lot happens to have in stock.
Three ways to buy
U.S. inventory
Vehicles already imported and available through appropriate U.S. sellers and dealers. Shorter delivery path and easier to inspect in person, but selection and specific configurations are limited to what's on hand.
Japanese sources
Vehicles available through exporters, auctions, dealers, and sourcing partners in Japan. A far wider pool and more configurations, with added shipping, documentation, customs, and timing to plan for.
KeiScout search
Tell us exactly what you want — year range, drivetrain, configuration, budget, and destination state — and KeiScout searches appropriate U.S. and Japanese sources, verifying import and title eligibility before you commit.
Have KeiScout find one
Instead of limiting your search to one dealer's inventory, tell KeiScout exactly what you want.
- Requirement review and import-eligibility confirmation

The vehicle purchase price, Japan-side fees, ocean shipping, U.S. customs and duties, state taxes, and domestic transportation are separate third-party costs and are not included in the $99 search fee.

Frequently asked questions
Is KeiScout an importer or a dealer?
Neither in the traditional sense. We're a buyer-side sourcing service. For $99 we search appropriate U.S. and Japanese sources for a vehicle matching your requirements and verify import and title eligibility. The vehicle purchase and physical import logistics are handled by the relevant third parties.
Why use a sourcing service instead of buying direct?
If you already found the exact vehicle you want, you may not need one. Sourcing helps when you want a specific configuration, want eligibility verified before you commit, or don't want to be limited to one dealer's current stock.
Put a sourcing service to work for you
Give KeiScout your requirements and we'll search appropriate sources and verify eligibility — working for you, the buyer.
